TJ Maxx gray cardigan, H&M screen t-shirt, vintage pearls (Dan's Antiques in Augusta, WV), brown belt, vintage polka dot skirt, Charlotte Russe silver flats, hat (White Oak Consignment Shop in Augusta, WV)
This skirt works so many wonders. First off, yes, it is my mom's. But! This skirt has saved in more ways than I could say! For my sister's friend's wedding was the first time I wore it, but I wore it as a dress then putting a yellow cardigan over top with a white belt.
Later, for my dressy casual in the pageant, I did the same except that time I wore my special tan jacket with it and tan high heels.
My mom once said to my sister, "If it doesn't fit Makayla, she'll make it fit."
And I do. If it doesn't fit me, I'll make it fit. It's hard to find clothing for me since I'm so skinny so I usually end up pining half of my skirts, especially if I want them to be high-waisted. I'll work with what I have, and I'll make it work even if no one else believes it will. It's a lot like life, I suppose. If it doesn't work, I will work tooth and nail to try to find an alternative. My English teacher always tells me, "You're so out-of-the-box." And I believe that to be my greatest compliment. If you don't think out of the box, then nothing you do will be interesting and you'll never be remembered for the deeds you did. Lady Gaga may dress outrageously, but she is always being commented on about her clothing and being remembered. Lady Gaga's clothing are everyday conversations for people. Just remember that the next time you dress or even when you involved with a project of some sort. Think out of the box and you will be remembered even if it's terrible.
