THE Jacket <3, Old Navy green blouse, Forever 21 skirt, Goodwill bracelet, George red heels
The topic of short skirts are a touchy subject in society. Too short and it tempts the eye of man. Too long and the girl is a prude. So where should the skirt line lie? Thankfully, maxi dresses and long skirts are back in style, girls, so pull them out, especially hi-lo dresses. Will the trend of short skirts die out? I doubt it. They're too popular with the boys, but I do think appropriately short skirts can be pretty.
For schools, it's hard to determine a short skirt. If you use the high-thigh rule, it's not as fair for long legged girls like me. Our thighs are longer and therefore the judgment would not be fair.
I believe if you can look at the girl in a short skirt and you feel comfortable looking at her, then it should be acceptable. If you look at her and you feel uncomfortable, then is the time to say something to her. It's embarrassing for her and you, but it saves a lot of other eyes from the sight.
"A good sermon should be like a woman's skirt: short enough to arouse interest but long enough to cover the essentials."
- Ronald Knox
