August 12th, 2012: Canada, Aye!

CANADA, AYE!

Yes!  I went to Canada, and YES, THEY SAY AYE!!!!  Anyways, I went with my mom, dad, and best friend for two weeks in the lovely land of Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, and Prince Edward Island.  Me personally, Prince Edward Island was the most beautiful of all, and I enjoyed watching the scenery change from farmland to beach in a mere mile.  The most important thing to remember on trips though is what to wear on trips.  I was listening to the radio the other day, and John Tesh said, "It's been scientifically proven that women pack more than men."  DUH!  An idiot could tell you that!  We like options, and options mean lots and lots of packing.

So, what's the key to packing light and keeping options?  Easy.  Mix and match!  Keep the luggage light.  Cardigans, pants, and skirts are easy to mix and match.  Things like tank tops and accessories are harder to keep light since mix and matching requires such things, but keeping the others light can make a whole lot of difference in your travels.

Also, I wanted to point another cool thing I came upon.  Actually, my sister showed it to me, but a girl runs a blog, and she went to Paris for 50 days.  So, she packed the following:

One bottom: Leggings
Two tops: Black tank top and Long sleeve striped shirt (man's t-shirt)
One topper: Cardigan
Four pairs of shoes: High heels, platforms, sandals and boots.
Two belts
Intimates: PJ’s, swimsuit, underwear, bra and one pair of socks
Sun hat
Four pieces of jewelry: bangle bracelet, earrings, necklace, diamond (dime-in-a) ring
Personal Hygiene bag

Her challenge is to wear the man's t-shirt 50 different ways.  So, I accepted part of her challenge and bought two men's shirts.  I wore one in Canada to the theater as a dress with a cardigan over top.  I will advise to get XXL or it will not work properly and to also be cautious that some of the ways to tie it can be somewhat revealing, so if you're a modest Makayla, wear a cardigan over top.  I hope you enjoyed this, and here's the video that follows along with the men's t-shirt and the link to the woman's blog : )

I wore this skirt as a dress another night as well : )
